Roles and approvals
Six roles decide who can see, propose, publish and approve, so no one changes the site alone by accident.
Give each person the role that fits their job.
- Viewer sees every report and changes nothing.
- Analyst plans changes and proposes them for review.
- Editor publishes page copy: titles, descriptions and headings.
- Director owns the brand voice and keywords and approves others' work.
- Approver publishes technical changes and approves others' work.
- Admin can do everything, including users, connections and billing.
The role is checked where the change is made, not only where the button is, so a hidden button is not the only thing standing between a viewer and your site.
