How page types are scored and how to change the standards

Each page is graded against a short checklist for its type, and you can edit that checklist.

A pricing page and a blog post should not be judged by the same rules. PageSoar sorts your pages into types and grades each page against the checklist for its type. The score is the share of checks the page passes.

What each type card shows#

  • The type name and how many pages it holds.
  • What the type is measured on.
  • Its average health, or Not measured.
  • The goal for the type.
  • Each rule, with how many pages pass it.

The header also tells you where the work is, for example how many pages are one fix from clean, and which faults are most common. Pages you set aside are not in the averages but are still checked for real faults. If the scores come from an older reading of your site, the screen says how many days old.

Change the standard#

Choose Edit these rules on a type. You can set the title maximum, the description minimum and maximum, the minimum word count, required schema, the CTA and a Note / guidance, then Save standard. Scores follow your standard.

If nothing is listed, the page types have not been read yet; read your site first.
