SEO glossary A to ZHow to change many pages at once with Bulk optimize
Bulk optimize applies the same kind of fix to a chosen set of pages, previews it first, and checks each write.
When the same fix applies to dozens of pages, Bulk optimize does it in one run instead of page by page. You preview first, and nothing is written until you apply.
- Choose pages. Use Fill by page type to load a type, or paste addresses one per line (commas work too, and duplicates are removed). A counter shows how many pages you have. Each type shows how many of its pages get enough traffic for a result to be measured.
- Tick what to change. Options include Title & description, Heading structure, Image descriptions, Link preview details, Search result extras, Duplicate page marker and Search visibility. Each carries a tag: writes, report or approve.
- Preview changes drafts and checks everything with real data and writes nothing.
- Apply changes writes the items marked writes and checks each one. Report items never write.
Things worth knowing#
- Hero headline and page copy review need your approval before anything is written.
- A few measurable pages may be held back from a run and never edited, so there is something to compare the rest against. The screen tells you how many are reserved so far; once the set is full, everything you select is written.
- You are asked to confirm before a write, with the page count.
Not sure where to start?#
Score every page rates each page out of 100 so you can see which to open first. It changes nothing. See also how a change goes live.
