SEO glossary A to ZPublish your award badges so Google can show them
Awards reads the badges on your pages and, after you confirm each one, marks them up site-wide.
Awards you display on a page mean more when Google knows about them. This screen finds the badges and publishes the ones you confirm.
What you see first#
Publishing now lists the awards your site already marks up, with issuer and year when known. If there are none, it says your site marks up no awards, so Google has none to show. If your site also publishes third-party ratings, they are listed and left alone: publishing awards does not touch them, and a rating is never marked up as your own score.
Steps#
- If pages mention awards or certifications, the screen lists them under Worth a look. Select one to fill the address box.
- Otherwise enter a page that shows your badges, usually the homepage or an awards section.
- Press Check for badges.
- Confirm each award you want and choose Publish these site-wide. A confirmation names the number of awards and your site first.
Nothing is published until you confirm each award. Reading badges uses AI writing, so it does not run while that is switched off.
