SEO glossary A to Z Resources Getting started How the Getting started guide works How the Getting started guide works The small guide in the corner of the screen: what its steps are, how it counts and how to change your first choice.
The guide is the same list Home shows under Your setup . It sits in the corner of every other screen as a button reading Getting started with your count, for example 2 of 5.
What it does# Closed, it shows the next step by name. Pressing that name takes you to the screen and points at the control to use. Open, it lists every step. Finished steps are ticked, the next one has a Do this next button, and the rest have Show me . Minimize puts it away. It is never removed, so you can open it again. On Home it shows only its button, because Home already draws the full list. Changing your first choice# Once you have answered What do you want to do first? , your goal appears at the top of the guide with a Change button. It asks the question again and reorders the steps. Nothing you have finished is undone.
When you are set up# The guide says You are set up and turns into a ladder of goals based on how many pages have an approved, applied change: 1, 3, 10 and then 25. Each applied change is measured against pages left alone, so climbing the ladder is also what produces results.
It also shows a streak, in weeks in a row with work done and no page going backwards, once Results has one to show.
If a step seems stuck, check it from its own screen: steps tick when PageSoar detects the fact, not when you press a button. See connecting if it is a connection.
