SEO glossary A to Z Resources Finding and fixing How to see what changed in your market How to see what changed in your market Compare the same keywords across two weekly checks to see where you gained or lost ground.
The What changed screen compares the same keywords across two checks, so you can tell whether your rankings are moving up or sliding without reading a spreadsheet.
What you see# The two weeks being compared and how far apart they are. Counts of keywords that moved up, moved down, held position, reached page one or fell off it. The change in monthly searches you hold on page one. A table of the biggest movers: keyword, position before, position now, the move and searches a month. Why only some keywords are compared# The screen compares only keywords checked in both weeks. The tracked set grows over time, and counting a new keyword would read as an improvement that never happened. The screen states how many keywords made the comparison out of how many are tracked.
If there is nothing to compare# Until two weeks of readings can be matched, the screen says there is not enough history yet or that there is no comparison yet, and the way to fill it is to record rankings on two different weeks. Like the rest of Market, it needs market data switched on for your workspace.
When something moved the wrong way, the next moves screen is where you act on it.
